Ok, I pretty much suck.
Decided to blog about how much I suck at blogging. I will try and load some new stuff up soon. Things have been super busy with the east coast move. He is a drawing to hold you off until then. Also there have been a few additions to the website you should check out.
NYC bound…
Sorry for not posting much. Things have a been a little crazy. I will be moving to NYC in a couple weeks for a new gig out there. Really excited. I will be working with Wieden + Kennedy NYC. Rude Dudes Sketch
I have decided to let you all into my process. I will post the remainder of the various steps of this later this evening. This design started with a pencil sketch, and usually the next step is fully inking the drawing in before scanning but I was lazy this time. Then I did the poor man’s scanner (which involves me taking a picture with my webcam and flipping it). Works well though. Next is the strenuous, painstaking, OCD filled awsomeness that I like to put myself through when tackling a complicated vector graphic. More to follow.

I have decided to try to design as many random logos for random ideas that I possibly can. With the help of my side kick, idea man Noah, this is what we have come up with. Its a work in constant process and I want to keep up making 3 or 4 good ones a week, while still balancing my real work and clients at the same time….
Writes Mostly
The first is a logo for the writer man Noah, who writes mostly. I was excited to get to do a logo with a WM letter combination. The two letters together have a great symmetry and a lot of shape combination possibilities. After some experimentation, I thought the interlocking effect worked really well with the Garamond Typeface. Which has a writer feel to it without being Times New Roman.

I just finished the brand development for an awesome local business in Orange, CA called Orange Medical Marijuana. They are the people who give you the medical card that is necessary to go to a legal marijuana dispensary and get the medicine that you need. I also built the website and when the office is fully open and operational (within the next week or so) you all should go there and get what you need…but remember to bring some sort of medical paperwork, this is a legitimate business you know…

I designed the original character for the Mundays event that is held by myself and co workers every third Monday of every month. It usually includes us drinking, smoking ciggarettes, and making Tshirts, so I would have to say it’s pretty awesome.
